Revision A6
General release: ~17 April 2007
Connect U1 pin #64 (PortA7) to U7 pin #2 (SCI1 TXD, PortS3).
This modification is only needed for KWP init functions and LIN mode.

Revision A7
General release: 14 June 2007
For revision "A" boards.
Modify the 2-wire CAN termination scheme to be Ford compliant.
Remove: R16, R17, R18. C25 can be removed or left in-place.
Install: R14, R15 (100 ohm); C20, C21 (470 pF); C22, C23 (100 pF).

Revision A8
General release: 17 July 2007
Remove R24; passive pull-up on K-line. This makes the passive pull-up on the K-line compatible for LIN operations.

Revision B1
General release: ~ March 2009
Incorporated corrections from revision "A" board (flip operational LED, wire for K-line control). Added mounting holes in the four corners.

Revision C
General release: 24 July 2009
Change the 2-wire CAN termination to the "Ford" configuration.
Remove: R18 and R16.
Install: R14 and R15 - 100 ohm.
Install: C20 and C21 - 470 pF.
Install: C22 and C23 - 100 pF.

Revision S
General release: 23 June 2009
Available for installation on any board, only upon specific customer request. Most useful for customers that need to support CAN bus baud rate of 1 Mbaud.
Remove 4 MHz external resonator (Y1) and replace it with an 8 MHz resonator (AWSCR-8.00MGD-T).
Install a wire from U1 pin #109 (PortK bit 7) to ground (nearest is C3 terminal furthest away from U1).

Revision T
General release: ~August 2008
Modification to change CAN4 channel from Single Wire CAN (SWC) to dual wire CAN.
Remove SWC transceiver U6.
Install AVT-84x "T" board on top of U4 using both pins of JP3 for mounting.
Install wires from the AVT-84x "T" board to the respective locations on the main AVT-84x board.

PC Board Revision (19 August 2010 and later)

Revision B1
Posted: 19 August 2010
AVT-841 units starting with serial number "00753" are RoHS compliant and lead (Pb) free.
Shipments of RoHS units began on 19 August 2010.
See the configuration chart below for the default "D" configuration.

Revision all
General release: 3 April 2013
Description: Install a 1N5819 Schottky diode on the K-line/LIN bus to minimize negative transients.
Install the 1N5819 Schottky diode on the bottom of the board, cathode (band) end attached to pin #2 of JP2, anode end soldered to the ground screen in the corner of the board.

Revision all
General release: 1 May2013
Previous note about installing a 1N5819 diode is no longer in effect.
Description: Install a 3300 pF ceramic capacitor in place of R24. (Resistor R24 is 'not installed' in all production boards.)
This modification is to minimize or eliminate the negative pulse seen on the falling edge of the K-line / LIN bus.
